1. Introduction

RunSync (the "Application") is a real-time running tracker application with team features and events, developed by RunSync Team ("we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and applicable international data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

  • Name, display name, email (from Google or Apple Sign-In)
  • Profile photo
  • Date of birth, age, gender
  • Country, city/province
  • Running experience, preferred distances and types

2.2 Running Data

  • Real-time GPS location (during runs only)
  • Distance, time, speed, pace
  • Running routes and complete history

2.3 Device Information

  • Device type (iPhone/Android)
  • FCM Token (for push notifications)
  • Last access date/time

2.4 Social and Team Data

  • Friends list, friend requests
  • Team memberships
  • Event participation
  • Team chat messages

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide real-time running tracking services
  • Show your location to spectators and team members
  • Record and display your running statistics
  • Manage teams, events, and activities
  • Send relevant push notifications
  • Improve and develop the application
  • Analyze aggregated, anonymized statistics

4. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Consent: For GPS location and personal data collection
  • Contract: To provide the services you signed up for
  • Legitimate Interest: To improve services and prevent fraud

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your data may only be shared with:

  • Team members and friends: Real-time location during runs, public profile, running stats (based on your privacy settings)
  • Event organizers: Participation data for events you join
  • Service providers: Google (Authentication), Firebase/Google Cloud (data storage), Apple (Sign-In)
  • As required by law

6. Your Rights

  • Right to Access: View your data through your profile
  • Right to Rectification: Edit your profile at any time
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a readable format
  • Right to Object: Object to certain data processing

7. Data Security

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Firebase Authentication for identity verification
  • Firestore Security Rules for access control
  • Google Cloud Platform with certified security standards

8. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained while you are a member
  • Real-time location: Deleted after each run session
  • Running history: Retained while you are a member
  • Upon account deletion: All data removed within 30 days

9. Children's Privacy

This application is not intended for children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notifications. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
